Wow... this just keeps getting better and better...

The life cycle of an ex-con...i mean ex-student

Fun things you learn on the internet... I'm the owner of a mysterious Energy Enterprise that set up a blog but didn't bother putting up any posts (www.xingji.blogspot.com), plus my name is Sammy.

Anyway, I think I'll just give you a brief outline on how i'm killing time these days waiting for my A-level results to come out...

10.00 am : Wake up
10.30 am : Get out of bed (Ask no questions, tell no lies)
10.45 am : Brush teeth
10.50 am : Eat breakfast (Warning. May contain traces of egg and dairy products)
11.00 am : Activity*
13.00 pm : Lunch (Warning. May contain traces of animal fat)
13.30 pm : Activity**
17.00 pm : Accompany mum to pick up sister from work (Weekends not included)
18.00 pm : Dinner
19.00 pm : Activity***
20.00 pm : Evening news
20.30 pm : Yoo Hee the Witch/MTV
21.30 pm : Activity****
00.00 am : Go upstairs
00.05 am : Brush teeth
00.10 am : Turn off lights
00.11 am : Lie on bed
00.12 am : Think
01.30 am : Sleep
04.30 am : Wake up from nightmare*****

* Shopping/CNY prep/House maintenance/Sudden urgent chore (these pop up fairly often)
** Resumption of previous activity. Sometimes, if mum is not home, I dota till I throw up.
*** On weekdays, mum and sis watch Singaporean dramas. I sneak an hour online.
**** More house maintenance/CNY prep/something will crop up
***** Generally consists of exam nightmares regarding econs, physics, and oddly enough, pendidikan moral. Sometimes, disturbing childhood incidents resurface to haunt me...

In between my packed daily schedule (yeah rite), I have managed to run a grand total of three (3) times (adios muscleman), learn cooking from my mum, went for an undang seminar (lihong says only 6 hours wasted wor), fantasized about starting my own comic strip, bitch slapped myself out of it, and started fantasizing about other stuff instead. Sometimes I remember to bathe. I plan to watch Sweeney Todd and Meet the Spartans next. Any takers (I promise to bathe first)?

P.S. Wall's mini popper chocolate flavour tastes really good.
P.S.S. I need a haircut.
P.S.S.S. I tag Shu Haur, Nicholas and Chun Wei. Plus I retag all those who've already been tagged but not posted...you lazy ****** you

****** : people - Mammals of the species Homo Sapiens, sometimes bipedal. Part-time bloggers (they just need encouragement, like an AK-47 to the neck)

Rachel Ooi: My turn! =)

WOW. Suddenly there's a whole flurry of activity here!! No one can say we 5s1-ers aren't efficient people man!!

And hmmm.... I'm supposed to update about myself. Well, basically, *grins sheepishly*, I've been... around... for the last 6 months or so. Most of you whom I've kept in touch with already know most of it, but let's just refresh for those who don't alright?

June- Rachel finishes A-level at Taylor's.
July- Rachel goes on mission trip to Cambodia. Rachel volunteers at Kiwanis Down Syndrome Home.
August- Rachel goes to work as a temporary full-time telemarketer selling personal accident insurance(Those who don't know what's that, ask me. Heck, ask me about insurance! If my company did do their job properly, and I my homework, I have quite a bit of insurance knowledge in my head =D )
late September- Rachel stops work to study for SAT and to apply UCAS. (For those who're going to ask why didn't I apply the year before- long, complicated story.)
October- Rachel sits for SAT1. And she can't remember what she did for the rest of that month=)
November- Rachel can't remember anything productive she did for the month, except study for SAT2 (Do remember that it's almost 5 months since she did any real studying and that she has a very very short term memory). She recalls a myriad of movies, yumcha sessions, singing k sessions and blogging =)
December- Rachel slaves through US applications and essays, attends church camp and visits the whole of North-East China.
January- Rachel goes back to volunteering at Kiwanis as a quarter-time volunteer (that's what u call someone who volunteers less than what a part-timer would right?).

The future- foggy and uncertain. But Rachel will definitely be a medical student at the Monash Malaysia campus for the February semester. After that? My guess is as good as yours. =)

I don't think anyone posted up the December reunion photo here, so I shall do the honours =D

If you can't recognise some of the people, you know you're in DEEP trouble and should seek emergency treatment at this blog immediately. What treatment? Ask Flo =P

I'm done! OH yES, one last thing- see my name on your right? All it takes is one click. And you'll be on your way to my blog! One of the few wonders of technology I actually love... besides my handphone, msn, freely accessible Happy Tree Friends and other stuff I'm too lazy to mention. Maybe I don't love them enough...

Ah yes the only reason I did this tag in the first place- I TAG:
1) crap can't think of anyone- Timothy (if the busy man finds time to visit this site)
2) Li Hong (at least I'm certain he visits)
3) Sue Lynn ( no idea whether she visits or not)
4) Yin Shean ( She might visit )
5) Wai Lam ( I think he visits)
6) Sue Bee ( I have no idea)
7) Xin Ni (Likewise)
8) I know I'm cheating =)

YES I'm really done. Happy posting!!

MISS YOU ALL!!!!
GOD BLESS YOU!!

With love,
Rachel Ooi

P.S. There yi ning... a long, long post, just the way you like it.

The 5S1 '05 Revival Tag - Caleb Passing The Baton

Me ar? Well, to find out more about me visit my blog . Why would you want to do so you ask? Well, because it's Visit cnxc323 '08. So pop along my blog to read about what I usually eat in the jolly ol' boring city of Southampton.

Well, if you don't want to read my blog even after that Visit adverts we are so exposed to, I can give you a summary: Basically what you can find in my blog is a gazillion photos of pasta as I eat that like, well, alot. Yea, sick of eating my own pasta already as nice as they taste. Muahaha.

So anyway, yesterday was my last paper for my semester one exam. Was horrid. But oh well, Hope I did good enough. For those of you not in the know, I'm doing Electronics Engineering in the University of Southampton. Why am I here? Well, coz it's THE best school for electronics, outside the US and I am just lazy to apply to the US. So there. I'm here. It takes about 1.5 hours to get to Southampton by train here and trains here costs two bombs or £22 to be exact, AFTER discount. Yea... I shan't be taking the train no more, I'll take the bus more often.

Haven't seen no snow yet since I got here. GLOBAL WARMING. Bah. Thanks to everyone and their wasteful habits I don't get no snow HERE in the YOO KAY. So yea. Stop being wasteful everyone. Global warming WILL destroy us all! Recycle, turn off lights if you don't need them, turn your aircond down to 23 degrees celcius and walk instead of drive.

Ok, now that I've got my ESC rant out of the way, I tag Xing Ji, Xing Ji, Xing Ji, Shaun, Sui Yuan, Si YI and heck, whoever name isn't here, you'll have to do it anyway. So please do. I tag 5S1.

P.S. I tag Yingxu also. And Elaine and Darell. But their presence on this blog is just.. non-existant.

Spreading the word

To all those who have ever wanted to do something against the speeding buses of malaysia...
http://jayelleenelial.com/?p=551

I've been tagged.

Well.

Where do I start?

You guys know I'm in Prague, yeah?

Yeah I'm probably the only CHS-ian studying in Prague, come to think of it.

I should feel so privileged. Hehe...

Yeah, so far, it's been a blessing... I'm learning a lot - about growing, about taking charge of your life, and currently I'm learning discipline and how not to depend so much on other people, though I like to sometimes.

Maybe this abroad thingymajigo experience is helping me with growing up and shaping me into someone... Growing up definitely. I bought my first lipstick today if you want a good example. :-P (I usually borrow my mom's.) And in other aspects too... there is this sense of freedom that if not properly controlled can rule your life. For example, I think I might have been going out too often and not sticking to my books when I should. Which has to change from today onwards... if I want to get home by this summer.

And the people I meet... It's amazing... well, besides a huge Malaysian group, I have met people from all over... from NZ right to Tanzania right to Slovakia right to China right to America right to Ukraine, etc. etc. Prague is like a melting pot of races. Especially in the city where the foreigners are many.. In the smaller towns, we rarely find foreigners, though. It's just amazing... and most of them I met at church.. I'm attending an International church which pretty much feels like home. And I've found a good group of friends whom I am able to blend with. :-) Thank God.

School is okay, too. I've got some pretty cool lecturers, and their English put some of ours to shame, I'd say. I wish I could speak Chinese as well as they can speak English. But oh well... that reminds me, I've really got to have some sort of coaching when I get back. I seriously HAVE TO LEARN MANDARIN. I know, I know... what with you guys speaking English half the time, I didn't learn much. XD

But I love you guys all the same. :-)

Otherwise... yeah. That's pretty much it for now, at least. I miss high school. I just came back from a choir by a congregation of more than 10 high schools from all over the world which blew me off my feet... I'll post the link on my blog sometime soon and you guys can go check youtube. And they did it all in 3 days, can you believe it. It really made me miss school and the chances that I had to be involved in the singing community.

Righto. Have fun y'all. And take care. I'll see you around. :-)

Lotsaluv,
Flo.

P.S. To those dears who have been keeping this blog alive... what would I do without you guys. *hugs*

Revive 5s1 blog tag!

Alrite, this blog is DYING (if it's not already 99.9999% dead. wait, that still constitutes as dying. alrite) and we dun wanna see it 1200% dead do we? (like, um, what's with our facebook group??)

to think there were 50 of us people in 5s1, yet only less then half that number of blogposts. or those with a blogger account here, for that matter. sad :(

(those without blogger account, or have no idea how to blog here, leave your email address in a comment, will ya?)

So let's start a tag here. let's call it... The Revive 5s1 Blog Tag!

THE RULE: whoever who posted here after being tag, get to tag 3 people! And the tagged/tagee have to post here.

update people on what has been going on in your life, how you doing, k? i'm sure most of you started uni. or will soon. lots of thing to say, right right??

and don't even try to sneak out of your tag by posting some random words you string together half drunk/asleep/awake or just some random funny youtube video you found. think of it as a sort of open letter, if that helps. and pics! pics are goooood.

understand?

capisce?

oh, how about tagging a non blogger. get them addicted to the blogging bug!! yay!

oh and if someone was tagged, but never post, feel free to retag them again and again if you have to and bug them until they do ya? ^^

let the fun begin! i tag Flo, Rachel Ooi and Caleb!
(ha.. serve you people rite for trying to tag me in the chatbox in the 1st place :p)

Randomness

Well, I went back to CHS today for KRS' orientation and OMG, there was alot of people in school and on a Saturday morning. Maybe I hadn't been to school for a long time, or maybe it was the first activity Saturday for the month or maybe just, well I miss school.

Anyway, I saw Xin Ni and she was there to collect her SPM cert (it really is kinda late, but who haven't collect you better do before it turns into some rough paper to be used by people like Li Hong who don't give a damn where they do their workings), and then since I just remembered about the 1119 cert, I too followed her to the office.

Mr Tham (remember him ?) was the only teacher there and at first, he asked us to come back during office hours which were 9-5 on weekdays. But maybe it was Xin Ni's undeniable charm that persuaded him to rammage through the drawers to search for the certs. He asked which year and she said 2005, which made him look shocked for awhile.

Anyway, I too collected my 1119 cert and was surprised to see we were the first 2 people to collect the certs. Its nice by the way, better than the SPM cert. So for those who haven't collected them, collect your 1119 cert !!!

So ya, that was basically it. I realise CHS during the day and on the nights I go back to play basketball is very different. I was just there last night and it was all so quiet, as compared to this morning....

Anyway, don't forget CHS, do visit some time soon. And collect your cert.

Cheers
