Just a little note of appreciation...

...for those who turned up for our reunion, and those who helped out in any way. :)

Thanks so much for the laughter and the fun and the food and the friendship... simply unforgettable and amazing in every way.

I love reunions, because they remind me of how special 4/5S1 life is to me, and how it helped build up my character. You guys are the greatest.

Have a blessed holiday season, everyone. :)

P.S. As for photos... Tim was snapping shots, so we'll just wait patiently for his exams to be over before we'll get them. All the best in your exam, Tim! May God bless you. :)

*rings some Christmas bells to get everyone's attention...*

Maybe Li Hong wants us to celebrate before he goes for his exchange program.

Maybe Yen Tink can't wait to come back for her internship.

Maybe Tim can't wait to tell us about his happening Klang posting.

Maybe Xing Ji has a bag of good (lame?) jokes to update us with.

Maybe it's the feel of the just-round-the-corner Christmas season.

Maybe it's just because * you * being a 5S1-er... is worth celebrating. :)

Come join us! :)

P/S : The proposed date & venue is just a proposed date & venue. We'll check it out first. Suggestions are still welcome, though!

SPM 2009 started yesterday.

I was just sitting and thinking...wow. It's been four whole years.
Memories of 5S1 suddenly rushed back.

A sudden wave of emotions hit me. It's been so long. Yet not long enough maybe.
I miss you all...=(

Ok emo post over. Back to studying. =)

Videos from Nottingham

I was at Nottingham last weekend for the Nottingham Malaysian Games. Met up with Ji Hang who brought me around the city and I bunked at his place for the night. Shot a few random videos of Ji Hang.

At the Nottingham Castle.

Ji Hang drumming on his iPhone 3GS to Taylor Swift's Love Story.

Ji Hang pulling a MJ to Man in the Mirror and a tour of his room.

Conversations With a Guy Awake at 4a.m.

Too Xing Ji says (20:06):
it was a dark and stormy night
황헉성 says (20:06):
sounds familiar
and isnt it 4 am
Too Xing Ji says (20:06):
time is relative, when you're travelling at the speed of light
wait
time is always relative
황헉성 (20:07):
no..
velocity is relative..
hrm
fine time is relative
Too Xing Ji says (20:08):
u busy?
황헉성 (20:08):
well
not really
Too Xing Ji says (20:08):
is time relative?
it is right
Too Xing Ji says (20:09):
i know there's time dialtion
dilation*
황헉성 (20:09):
are you reciting somethingn or
Too Xing Ji says (20:09):
reciting what?
황헉성 (20:09):
beats me
no then
everyone has their own time
actually does time relate?
to anything?
if u have ur own perception of time
Too Xing Ji says (20:10):
things are relative when measured against others
황헉성 (20:10):
my time against your time then
then it is relative
Too Xing Ji says (20:10):
the absolute then being the speed of light
황헉성 (20:10):
to velocity
Too Xing Ji says (20:11):
anyway, humor me: it was a dark and stormy night
next line
your turn
황헉성 (20:11):
and xing ji is standing in the rain by the bus stop
Too Xing Ji says (20:11):
damn he thought: should have brought the umbrella
황헉성 (20:13):
he starts walking
Too Xing Ji says (20:14):
water smashed furiously against his face. This wasn't rain, it was an ocean in a box with holes cut in the bottom
황헉성 (20:16):
he sees an old japanese lady furiously hanging onto her fragile umbrella walking towards him
Too Xing Ji says (20:19):
He walks over
황헉성 (20:20):
she takes out an old talisman and hands it over to him. she said a few things to him and quickly walked away before he even had the chance to say anything.
Too Xing Ji says (20:23):
Emulating his favourite Horror B-movie protagonists, he throws caution to the wind (which was howling louder than a howler monkey on crack), and puts on the talisman.
황헉성 (20:23):
nothing happened
Too Xing Ji says (20:24):
He turns the talisman over: made in China.
황헉성 (20:26):
suddenly he heard a bang
Too Xing Ji says (20:27):
Something old, female and Japanese flew past him in a surreal fashion
황헉성 (20:28):
btw i have seen this for the first time in my life
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-WVpQ0ZG8Q&hd=1
good stuff
it looked like the lady who passed him the talisman made in china
Too Xing Ji says (20:30):
She had been mowed down by a Lamborghini driven by a Chinese man. The irony.
황헉성 (20:32):
he runs to the lady and tried to save her, but it was too late. he takes off the talisman and puts it in her cold clammy hands and started heading off
btw talking about einstein
tivity that the speed of light is constant and independent of its color, energy, direction or how
this i mean http://science.slashdot.org/story/09/10/29/1541227/Intergalactic-Race-Shows-That-Einstein-Still-Rules
Too Xing Ji says (20:33):
i saw the vid when i was young
Too Xing Ji says (20:34):
hmmm, but there was a time lag
although could be equipment
or the atmosphere
황헉성 (20:34):
they did say there might be some granular abnormalies
Too Xing Ji says (20:35):
hmmm
how the hell did he come up with the postulate anyway
황헉성 (20:35):
beats me man
a whole bunch of math
Too Xing Ji says (20:36):
as he left, he heard a second bang. The lamborghini had managed to run over the Japanese woman again. Chinese really couldn't drive.
황헉성 (20:38):
the made in china talisman managed to get lodged in under the car which resulted in the car blowing into smithereens 100 yards from the old lady. the irony.
Too Xing Ji says (20:42):
Xing Ji broke into a run. The cops in the city were known to be notoriously efficient. He didn't fancy himself being found next to a bombed out sports car with two dead asians. The whole scene was just WRONG.
황헉성 (20:47):
He got home, panting. He turned on his computer and logged onto facebook. His whole homepage was completely filled with photos and videos of the scene he was just in. Also on the homepage was a long article on some sort of conspiracy theory of how the Japanese lady was a spy and the Chinese man was a counterspy. Technology nowadays.
Too Xing Ji says (20:50):
Better start untaggin myself he thought. He sat down and felt a lump in his back pocket.
the middle of the video was weird
and i think the ending is unfinished
황헉성 (20:50):
yar.. I don't get that bit
i heard its a short film so probably its just a part of it
Too Xing Ji says (20:52):
hmmm ok
anyway
thanks for humoring me
황헉성 (20:52):
this is class blog material
Too Xing Ji says (20:52):
haven't written creatively for a looong time
황헉성 (20:52):
shall you or shall i
Too Xing Ji says (20:53):
you shall
황헉성 (20:53):
i shall

Backdates =P

I was re-reading some old journal entries, and I came across some gems. Enjoy!

==========

School bizzz...
Bio - We learned abuot our skeleton frame today and Pn. See brought out a whole skeleton set for us to see. Cool! Anyway, (wazzit Xing Ji or Si Yi) some guy, for the benefit of an uproar arranged the bones of the hands in such a way that it portrayed a thinker's pose...

Hahahahaha...!

And the guys also manged to dislocate the skull from its proper position. Oh, boy.

Soon, it was the girls' turn to inspect our new source of curiosity when (don't ask me how) the whole group conversation (with teacher providing explanations) reverted to sexual reproduction. Now, how on EARTH did that happen?!! Oh, man. We're giving ourselves a bad name! Somehow, all those facts make me feel more... fragile. Ouch. Eek.

Science has never been so fascinating..

Physics - Rachel Kwan had a fit of sleepiness - a jolly good thing she didn't pass it on to me... then for some apparent reason, she burst into incessant laughter for several minutes after some conversation with Darell. Conclusion: Science One students are utter nuts who crack up for no reason due to excessive stress. Complacency? More like, critical emotional instability and easily berserk-ed laughing receptors.

Chemistry - Haha! I had a real good laugh at this one... We were conducting 'Garam' experiments in the Chem lab. Halfway through, my group extracted the 'baki' and 'hasil' from the 'turasan' (Ist that distillation in English?) And I asked Yen Tink to help us light the Bunsen burner. We put the liquid hasil onto the 'mangkuk penyejat'. But Yen Tink said no, we had to use the baki and she picked up the liquid and flushed it down into the sink. A split second later, I realised that I was right! Haha... A good thing, time's up came right after that! Funny gal kept apologizing but I was glad enough to have a good laugh to cherish in years to come!

NG YEN TINK WHERE ARE YOUUUUU!!!

Sorry sorry... I'm feeling a bit nostalgic/emo/bored at the moment.

I miss you all! :)

Love,
Flo.
