And so, we have ...

... one of the first doctors from 5S1 '2005! :-) I'm not sure if someone else have graduated from Medicine yet (please forgive me if I forgot anyone), but anyways, CONGRATULATIONS, DR. TIM!!! You'll make a fine doctor. :-)

A doctor has a special call
He or she must minister to all

The hypocratic oath he makes
To do no harm to those he takes

His studies does not end there
New methods come up everywhere

Much time is put in every day
To meet the demands that come his way

To be a friend to all is no small task
In all he does, he must come last

It is complete dedication to his duty
Responsibility to his patients asked

Late hours, long days are his plight
Compasion and love are his life

To God he answers for decisions
Based on knowledge and considerations

I'm a little tipsy. As I sit at my com waiting for my friend and temporary roommate to return, I ponder upon what I should write. As you can tell, I'm not really fucking drunk, because I can still type in sentences which largely retain proper grammar, syntax and spelling, but I am slightly off because I do not bother to censor myself in terms of profanity.

Maybe this isn't such a good idea after all. Like, I could tell you about my night, which has been interesting enough, what with meeting a former Jehovah Witness who has since turned atheist and hearing his hilarious retelling of the bible; but some things are better said in person.

I could tell you about how I'm turning 23 in 2 weeks' time, how I can't believe I've managed to survive so long on this earth, except I don't remember a quarter of what I did during the first half of my existence, so I guess I didn't really live 23 years after all, but merely avoided death.

Uhm...I remember a time when I was younger, when I would just write posts about feelings which I felt without the need to ensure that what I wrote made sense, or appeared to make sense, merely that they spoke. And maybe I still write that way, but sometimes some days I miss the time when I wrote for an audience, a specific audience, an audience which I could mock: I miss writing high school essays.

Many people think that I'm an emo drunk. I'm not really; I write deeper when I'm under the influence no doubt, but I talk happier, it's true.

A part of me looks through the unpublished posts on this blog, and I wonder, will they ever be finished?

Did you know?

That Feb 22 is Founders' Day? It is the Birthday of Lord Baden-Powell, founder of the international Scout's movement. But here's the kicker: it's also the birthday of his wife, Olave St Claire Soames, who later became the Chief Guide of Britain.

What most people don't realize however, is that 24 years ago on this very day, a little girl was born in the small South East Asian Nation of Malaysia, who would 24 years later, come to change the very world in which we live in, simply by her very existence. True Story.

So for all the Scouts and Guides celebrating Founders' Day today, you are also celebrating the birthday of one frighteningly unique individual. Yes, she is special. There's only one of her after all.

P.S. Happy Birthday Yingxu!

Happy Birthday, XingJi!

Hey XingJi, just dropping by to wish you a very happy birthday! :)

Birthday Antique
by Martin Dejnicki

You are antique,
We need to tweak,
Start with physique,
Let’s make you a geek,
Or just join a clique,
And become sleek,
What do you seek?
A birthday creek,
With sublime mystique,
Surely unique,
I shouldn’t speak,
Quite often critique,
Courageous or meek,
Today is your peak,
Enjoy the week,
And stick out your cheek!

I sleep late so I don't care if dinosaurs were killed by a meteor but maybe we should treat our pigeons better because the hills are alive!

You know the blog is pretty screwed up when the live feed doesn't show a single person from Malaysia viewing it but rather weird ass connections from places half of us haven't even heard from. Russia, Brazil, Chile, Iraq....SERIOUSLY?

Uhm anyway, most of us are either turning 22 or 23 this year (which is bloody old IMO) and we're all supposed to be doing respectable adult stuff soon i.e. work, what were you all thinking?

Hmmm, I don't even know why I started this post actually, OK, maybe I would like to do a little self rant about things I discovered about myself in the past year or so:

1) I like trance
2) Tipsy is fun
3) Losing your passport is not so fun
4) Law school is a sham, except on days when it is not.
5) Despite my fear of heights, I enjoy scaring the shit out of myself by taking roller coasters
6) Cold weather makes you neglect personal hygiene
7) is a nice number
8) is even better
9) Maybe this wasn't such a good idea
10) Whence are we going? wait...that doesn't make sense
11) = 10.999...
12) I want to be an archaeologist
13) who lives in Spain
14) who writes in Italian
15) dreams in Chinese
16) sings in Malay
17) but still watches English comedy
18) too late it's gone it won't come back
19) 89
20) Veinti
21) So many things to do, so little time
22) Ventidue, un numero bellissimo. In more ways than one.
